Everything on the BASDU website and in BASDU documents and certificates belongs to BASDU Ltd unless stated otherwise, and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
1. What we own. © 2026 BASDU Ltd. All rights reserved. This covers the website's text, design, layout and graphics; the BASDU name and shield logo; the BASDU Security Dog Handling Standards; centre policies, forms and course materials; assessment papers; and certificate designs.
2. What you may do.
- View and print pages from this website for your own personal or internal business use.
- Share a link to any page.
- Approved centres may use BASDU materials and the BASDU logo for delivering BASDU courses, as set out in their centre agreement.
- Member companies may say they are a "BASDU member" and use the member badge we supply while their membership is current.
3. What you may not do.
- Copy, republish, sell or adapt our content, standards, policies or course materials without written permission.
- Use the BASDU name or logo in a way that suggests approval, membership or certification you do not hold.
- Copy, alter or produce BASDU certificates. Only BASDU issues them, and any certificate that cannot be verified online is not valid. Forging a certificate may be a criminal offence.
- Use assessment papers or answers outside a BASDU assessment.
4. Photographs. Photographs on this website are used with the permission of their owners and may not be reused.
5. Other organisations. Names of laws, government bodies and other organisations are used only for reference. Their mention does not mean they endorse BASDU, and BASDU does not claim any connection with other dog-handling bodies.
6. Reporting misuse. If you think BASDU's name, logo or certificates are being misused, or that something on our website infringes your rights, email info@basdu.org and we will look into it promptly.
7. Permission requests. Write to info@basdu.org saying what you would like to use and how.
